Quantum Club FAQ

When and where does Quantum Club meet?

Quantum Club meets every other Monday during clubs block in room 1202 from 3:10-3:40.

What is quantum computing?

Quantum computing harnesses the unique properties of quantum mechanics—such as superposition, wave interference, and entanglement—to process and manipulate information as a means of computation. Quantum computing is not necessarily superior to classical computing, but has advantages in certain problems and domains.

How can I engage with quantum club if I am unable to attend in-person meetings?

Attending in-person meetings is recommended, but not required, to be a member of quantum club. Material covered during meetings will be linked to a Google Doc on the "Stay Engaged" section of this website.

Do I need to know anything about quantum computing/mechanics to join Quantum Club?

No, no prior knowledge is required! The only requirement is curiosity in the field and an open mind.
